SOS v4.0 causes runaway process until service is restarted
About once a week I have to go to control panel and restart the SOS service because it has become runaway and the CPU maxes out at 100% until I do so. No users can put or get until this is done.
There have been several bugs fixed since SOS 4.0, including one that affected performance. The first thing I'd suggest is upgrading to SOS 4.0.2, which was just released today.
If you continue to experience the problem, enable debug logging for the SOS Server: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=463.
The next time the Server uses 100% CPU, email me a copy of the log.txt file in the SOS Server directory. If possible, let me know how many users were logged in and what types of operations were taking place.
