Get Latest Version Issues

Post by ramanujamsampath » Thu Oct 18, 2007 1:24 pm

Hi,
I am trying to get the complete project. While doing so, I get some of the files while some of them it does not get it and says:

Unable to open file:C:\.....

But this happens to only some of my files in each folder, but not to all files. Please help me on this. I am using SOS 4.2.x version

Can you check your SOS server log around the same time that last happened and post any errors you find? SourceOffSite log file (log.txt) is located on the machine where the SOS server resides in this path C:\Program Files\SourceOffSite Server.

What happens if you try an individual get on some of the files that failed before?

What types of files are those?

Hi,
There is no information on the log after Nov, 2006. The error is the same even when i try to get an individual file.

I noticed that I am able to view the content when i right-click and click 'View...', but the error comes up when i Right-click and click on 'Edit...'.

Not sure what to do.

Can you go into your SOS server manager and start the logging? I suspect it was turned off. You will need to restart the SourceOffSite service afterwards.

Then recreate the scenario and check the log.
