Hi,
We are trying SourceOffSite versie 4.0.1 but when the service is started it shows:
17-5-2004 9:49:56 - g:\\iris2000\\vss\\srcsafe.ini does not exist!
17-5-2004 9:49:56 - SourceSafe Initialization file(s) located at:
17-5-2004 9:49:56 - V:\DEV\srcsafe.ini
I think it has something to do with the double backslashes in the path (which I didn't type). I've also tried to connect to a VSS database at g:\vss\scrsafe.ini. Same message. Both drives (G and V) are mappings and do exist!
Below are the log file and prp file:

Problem: SourceSafe database does not exist! message

Although a mapped drive might work, we generally recommend using a UNC path rather than a mapped drive when you configure a database in the SOS Server Manager. Are you able to access the database at: V:\DEV\srcsafe.ini?
The message "g:\\iris2000\\vss\\srcsafe.ini does not exist!" means that the SOS Server cannot access the directory where the VSS database resides.
Check the account used by the SOS Server service and verify that this account has at least read/write access to g:\\iris2000\\vss. Try a domain account.
This can be configured in Control Panel -> Administrative tasks -> Services -> SourceOffSite 4 Server -> (right-click) Properties -> Logon…
