Classic color theme for DiffMerge

Post by jeffhostetler » Mon Sep 17, 2007 10:00 am

A 'Classic' color scheme for DiffMerge is now available (Windows only).

Someone made a request over on the 3.1 beta announcement on the blog
http://vaultblog.sourcegear.com/article ... -1-beta for a brighter color scheme/theme (that was similar to the colors used in the original version of sgdm) without having to set each individual color field in the Options Dialog.

Attached to this message is a file of registry settings that will change the colors from the default pastel colors to something similar to the original 1.1 version of sgdm. This is not an exact clone, because the 2 programs draw the file and folder windows differently, but it is close. The values set by this script can all be directly set via the Options Dialog. This script has been provided as a convenience for users wanting a more 'classic' look.

To install, download the attached sgdm_classic_theme.reg.txt, rename it to remove the .txt suffix, and then double-click on the .reg file.

If you don't like the new settings, click on the Restore Defaults buttons on the Various File and Folder Color tabs in the Options Dialog.

For comparison, here is a screen shot showing the coloring of the original version of sgdm on the same files/folders.
