OK, I've tried to search through the forums, but just not finding enough detail for someone just starting to try branching.
I have my main project set up as the following:
$/Thunder/Trunk
I would like to branch this into the following (or something like this):
$/Thunder/Branches/V1.5 Production Maintenance
Now, Do I first have to Share the Trunk? Or do I directly branch the Trunk folder (project)?
Once I finally do get the Branch created would I see a file list of all the subfolders/files under my new project?
I ahve tried various things, but it doesn't seem to allow me to select the trunk and say branch, then give it a new directory structure to branch into.
Any direction to existing point-by-point steps would help.
Thanks.

When performing a branch, you don't have to share first. You just select the folder, right click, and select Branch. Then a dialog box will come up with the tree structure for you to select where you want to put it, and you can rename the folder of the branch if you wish. So, you would manually create the Branches folder, but the V1.5 Production Maintenance folder could be the name of the branched folder if you wish. If you want it beneath that, then you have to manually create that folder before the branch.

Thanks. More questions
I've read Eric's article.
Ok, I don't have the Branch option in my right click menu. Is something wrong?
When I branch the project should I see all the files under the new branch?
