Still having issues with linked solution items

Post by mschoneman » Fri Aug 03, 2007 12:41 pm

When I try to checkout my solution using the 1.0.3 client, I still get an error message the checkout failing because I already have some of the files checked out (I didn't have any checked out before I tried to checkout the solution). In the Fortress output window I see a number of errors:

Check out failed for $/Project/GlobalAssemblyInfo.cs: You already have the file checked out.

GlobalAssemblyInfo.cs is a solution item that is linked into each project.

I also see the same message for a number of the .csproj files in the solution (which are in solution folders).

Any progress or ideas on this?

Thanks,

-Michael O. Schoneman

I think I may have found your ticket. I think an email got lost. The last one said you have some orphaned items:

No orphaned items. I sent a sample solution that demonstrated the problem, but haven't heard back.

Michael,

I reproduced your problem and the issue is logged. Unfortunately a fix did not make 4.0.3. 4.0.4 is going to be nothing but 4.0.3 with a corrected client installer, but a fix for this will be in 4.0.5.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
