I have my project on a portable harddrive, and obviously when I work in one location and move to another SOS is makring all the files I worked on in my other location as "renegade". This is a little inconvenient.
It would be nice if I could reference a database1.sos file in any directory of my choosing (like maybe one I bring with me) instead of in Documents And Settings\\<Users>\\Application Data... etc.
Any way to do this?
Is there a way that I can relocate database1.sos?

You can't change the directory path, because this is the location SOS Client expects the directory to be in. You could try copying the databaseX.sos file to the other machine/drive. It still might not show a true view of the working folder unless the contents of the working folder (and file timestamps, etc) match the original folder.
At least you wouldn't have to download the entire project tree, since it will be in the cache.
