Detect New Folders to Add

I am really in need of a way to detect new folders to be added to Vault. I searched the forums and I know that v3.5 added 'show ghosted folders' but that's really not what I want -- I have hundreds of subdirectories and I'd have to manually go through each one. I'd rather have the 'Detect New Files' dialog also handle folders.

As an alternative, could the Search tab have a 'Search By' option for searching for 'ghosted files/folders'?
