Unknown status

Post by paul » Tue Apr 27, 2004 8:12 am

Using SOS 4.0 client and server. I login to a database and re-point the working directory to a directory that was created using the 3.5.3 client/server. All files show a status of unknown even with the option "use checksum to determine unknown status" turned on. I can do a diff on any of the files and they are indentical. Is the checksum option suppose to work in this case?

Thanks,
Paul

Haven't tried this particular scenario, but it should work. Did you try refreshing the file list?

Are you using the SOS GUI Client or IDE Client? We just retested the scenario you are describing, and by turning on checksums and then refreshing the file lists using the GUI Client, all statuses were set correctly. This should always work as long as the files have not been modified.

GUI client. I've only had this problem when pointing to a working folder that was populated by using 3.5.3, then I upgraded to 4.0. Today I tried copying a folder and re-pointing the working folder to the copy. The status went to unknown, then I refresed the file list and everything was fine. I'm not sure how to repeat the original case again.
