Vault server crashes...

Post by Val » Wed Feb 07, 2007 5:04 pm

Hello,

Our Vault server Vault 3.1.9.3798 crashes constantly and we are getting a lot of these application log events (below) on the machine where the server is. Can you please help asap. It is critical for us - of course we have a release in a few days...

Thank you
Val

What operating system is the Vault Server log installed on?

Check the Vault server log (sgvault.log in %windir%\temp\sgvault). ARe there any errors that correspond to the crash/event log errors.

Honestly I do not see anything in the log and I'll copy below the last lines of it. You will also see that the server restarted and this keeps happening today...

Let me add to my prev. reply that all these Login-Logout-s are comming from our build script but the crashes do not seem to be related to it.

Thanks

What operating system is Vault Server installed on?

Based on the account used by Vault, it looks like Windows 2000, is that correct?

Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to tell you that. It is Windows XP SP2 with all recent patches.

There's a known issue with system restarts when you're using Vault on IIS 5 with the .NET Framework 2.0. This configuration isn't supported because of this.

If you run the Vault Server with the .NET Framework 1.1, it should eliminate the problem.
