how to remove source gear from project files?

Post by tentnology » Wed Jan 31, 2007 11:44 pm

Hi there:

I have a question: how can I remove source gear control from my current project files? Due to business requirement, we need give a copy of our source codes to our client. In order to let our client use our source codes without source control information, I need remove source gear from the project files. How can I do it? Can I do it manually by removing some codes inside Visual C++ project file? Thanks.

You can manually remove binding information. Also, if you're using VS.NET 2003 or VS 2005, you can open the project, use the command File->Source Control->Change Source Control and then unbind the project from source control.
