Best Practices: VS2005 IDE integration vs Vault Client?

What is the recommendation vis-a-vis the use of the Vault Client versus the use of the IDE integration in VS2005?

In the past, I've recommended that my VS2003-based teams use the Vault Client, as it seemed more reliable and controllable than the IDE integration.

Has anything changed with VS2005 in this regard?

Not really.

Vault 4.0, due out later this year will have better integration with VS 2005, as we will be using Microsoft's new VSIP integration, rather than MSSCCI.

Thanks for the info. In that case, we'll stay with the Vault Client for now, and reassess when 4.0 is released.
