How to install Vault and Dragnet to a new server?

Hi,

We are busy moving everything to a new server including Vault and Dragnet. I would like to intergrate them now on the new server as they were not intergrated on the previous server. What steps should I take to "Move & Intergrate" Vault & Dragnet from one server to another?

You will want to check our KB article for moving the databases: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=924. This will work for both Vault and Dragnet.

Then just install Vault and install Dragnet. Vault is then configured to connect to Dragnet from within the Admin tool in the Repository Options tab.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have reviewed the article you mentioned and it seems like a simple task.

Some questions though:
* What about the files that deveopers currently have checked out?
* Is there anything special to do now when installing the Vault & Dragnet software so they are intergrated?
* What about the vault client software? Is anything special required to be set-up or changed?

They're fine the way they are.

Nope. The best thing you can do right now is to just check out our KB articles to see if any pertain to your situation and to read up on recommendations for best performance and maintenance, but that's just a matter of being prepared. If you're not changing versions, then everything will be fine as is. Your users will need the new information for the server they will be connecting to.
