Unable to login under Admin...

Post by westar » Thu Oct 19, 2006 3:07 pm

When I am at the Dragnet web login screen I type in "admin" and
my password and nothing happens. If I type in a invaild password
or username it gives me the error "username or password supplied is
invalid".

So basicly it looks like a screen refresh when I type in the admin
and the correct password.

I am using Dragnet 1.0.3
Vault 3.0.7
Both installed on the same machine

no firewall and cookies are enabled on the MS IE 6.0 browser

Did this work before?

Can you log in as a different user?

Did something change on your system?

Have you tried restarting IIS?

Is there any error in the Dragnet server log that corresponds to the failed login? The log is in %windir%\temp\sgdragnet on the Dragnet server machine.

I have never been able to login. This is a new install of dragnet.

I restarted ISS and I was still unable to login.

Below is a copy of the dragnet log file.

The server isn't even seeing the login. If you use a web browser on the Dragnet Server machine and log in with "localhost" as the Dragnet Server name, can you log in?

Fix!

Yes, that works.

Any idea why it likes localhost but not the server name?

Thanks

There may be a problem resolving the servername. Does it work if you use the IP address?

Yes is does work if I use the IP address. I agree, I believe
that it looks like a DNS issue.

I will fix that.

Thanks for the help
