Error when trying to check in changes, please help

Post by short1uk » Thu Aug 17, 2006 2:29 am

I have just received this email this morning with regards to a SOS problem from a user.

Can anyone help?

EMAIL------

HI Duncan,

I had this problem again this morning when trying to check-in changes to the prototype. The only error messages I got are below.

view SOS1.bmp

Then…

view SOS2.BMP

Then it seems to check out the whole project that you were trying to check in…

There are no errors in the event log. It happened at about 08.58 this morning if that’s any help.

---------------

This is the section of the log relating to the above

is just keeps saying File or project not found

I can mail the log file if it will help

Thanks

Catherine

What version of Visual Studio are you using?

What type of project is this?

Are all the files for the checkin in the local working directory?

Are you using SOS 4.1.2? Earlier versions do not support integration with VS 2005.

There are some known issues when using VS 2005 with SOS 4.1.2, including the "fatal error."

See this KB article for solutions:

Also, you may be interested in participating in our Beta for SOS 4.2, where these issues have been resolved. Details here:
