Is it possible to copy a file using the web deploy feature without making it read only (on the destination file)?
I have found that when I use the web deploy feature, the file is automatically set as a read only file. Any way around this?
Thank you for your help.

Yes, this setting can be changed in SOS.
First, be sure the web project is properly configured in the SOS Server Manager under the Web Projects tab (Web Projects set in SourceOffSite are not required to match those set in SourceSafe. In other words, if a web project is set up in SourceOffSite, it does not necessarily need to be configured in SourceSafe and vice versa).
Next, in the SOS GUI Client, under Tools->Options->Command Dialogs->Commands used on projects, check "Deploy." Now when you select Tools->Web Deploy in the SOS Client, you should get a "Deploy files from Project <x>" dialog, with the option to make the files writable. Once this option is checked, SOS will make all deployed files writable until it is changed.
