error(s) using the vss addin in VS 2005

Post by spatra » Mon May 15, 2006 2:02 pm

I am trying to explore the offsite tool with VS 2005. The problems I observe are
1. If I am loading a .net solution for the first time, I am not able to do it using offsite. What I am doing is
a) Get the latest .sln file using offsite client.
b) Double click on this solution.
c) Then VS 2005 gives me an error for <solutionname>.vssscc file not found.

2. In my next attempt. I get the sln file using the VSS 2005. This also gets the <solutionname>.vssscc file. Now when I doubleclick on the file, I get an error after a while with only the project structure loaded. The image attached shows the error I get.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a guideline I can follow?

Thanks

Are you using SOS 4.1.2? Earlier versions have not been tested with VS 2005.

Try clearing your working directories and do a fresh open from Source Control. In VS 2005 this is under File->Source Control ->Open from Source Control.

Do you still get errors?
