We have had problems with disconnects lately so we tried the common fix of upgrading to VSS 6.0d. We installed SP6 from http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downl ... fault.aspx
When we check the version of the ssapi.dll in the D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VSS\win32 folder, it says 6.00.31222
This does not match the version suggested which ends with 98.48
How do I get the suggested version?

We don't necessarily recommend ssapi.dll version ending in 98.48. Many of our users use it; it causes a concurrency crash, but a registry edit will fix it.
We haven't done much testing with the ssapi.dll version 6.00.31222
so we don't know if this is causing your connection issues.
SourceGear doesn't distribute VSS -- you might check with Microsoft.

This hotfix was created by Microsoft to fix a concurrency crash in VSS versions 6.0c and prior version. It's one of the more stable versions to use with SOS.
If you continue to experience disconnects after using the Hotfix version, we'd like to see a copy of the SOS Server log. It's log.txt and is in the SOS Server directory on the server machine.
