Hello,
How can I get my project by label from GUI Client and soscmd.exe? I didn't find such opportunity in GUI Client at all. In soscmd.exe according to manual it is possible using GetProject command and it's attribute - label, but after my attempt I received following error:
"[exec] Error: Server response = 406 InvalidVersion"
I checked that this label exists in project.
Thanks,
Dmitry.

In the SOS GUI Client, Show History on the project. The labels should appear in history. Select the one you want and click the "Get" button on the right.
If this doesn't work, what error message do you get?
What version of SOS are you using?
Also, what version of the VSS automation component is installed on the SOS Server machine? Here's how to find out:

get Project by label
When I try to get sources by label in both cases (from GUI Client and soscmd.exe) I get error message: Invalid Version. No more details.
SOS version is 4.1.2
VSS automation component version is 6.0.81.69

SOS uses the SourceSafe automation component to communicate with the VSS database. The error means the automation component is having a problem getting the version or the version doesn't exist. Running Analyze on your VSS database to fix database corruption would be the first step:

If that doesn't work, you might try changing the version of VSS on the SOS Server machine to a different version (and different automation component) You're using an older version of 6.0. This Microsoft Hotfix version might help:

Or you could try installing VSS 6.0d
