Upgrading from 2.0.6 to 3.1.7

I'm about to upgrade from 2.0.6 to 3.1.7. Can the upgrade be run with files checked out, or do all of the files need to be checked in first?

Chris:

You can upgrade the Vault server as is. However, please make sure you have a known good backup of the sgvault database. I believe the Server installation mentions this as well.

The transition from Vault 2 to Vault 3 includes database schema / source tree changes. If something happens, you'll need your database for trouble shooting.

Thanks Jeff, the upgrade ran quickly and without incident. I really appreciated that the 3.1.7 installers installed cleanly over the 2.0.6. I've spent enough time with WFW to understand the level of effort it took to do that.
