SOS hanging multiprocessor PC?

Post by jamesh » Tue Mar 30, 2004 8:05 am

We have recently upgraded the office server to dual processor. SOS worked fine on our single processor system, but it appears to be crashing the new dual processor server, often with a blue screen.

The blue screen reports a problem in NDIS.SYS usually with a STOP code of 0xD1.

We are using SOS 3.5.

Is there a fix?

It may not be the dual processor. Does the new machine have more than one network card?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the server does have two network cards, one an internet connection, the other to the LAN. The PC we previously used this on also had two network cards though. One possibility is the Netgear card we're now using. I will try changing that and see if it helps :)

Yes, that's fixed it. Swapped the LAN/Internet Network cards and SOS 3.5 now works fine. Thanks for your help!
