Annoying behaviour when deleting files

Post by Waylander1970 » Thu Jan 19, 2006 7:11 am

Hi,

I've deleted lots of 'thumbs.db' which have got into our solutions and got the usual 'not going to be deleted on vault' message. Now on Vault I'm trying to tidy up those files but when I click delete, it attempts to check the file in first and then fails.

I want to delete the file, not revert, not check in or compare etc. I want to trash it completely, so why do I have to check the thing in before I can trash it?

I also have another problem at the moment which is too complex to explain so I'm going to try and distill it into a smaller problem and then post a request if I can't get it going.

Thanks

Ryan

Vault doesn't allow deletion of checked out files. Checkin or undo checkout of the file prior to deleting it.
