Label truncated

Post by Xavier » Tue Nov 08, 2005 2:12 am

Hello,

the label box allows one more character than it should. I don't know if it's a sourcesafe issue or sourcegear, but if you fill the label name edit control then the last character is removed from the label name.

I couldn't reproduce this, so I could use more information.

What version of SOS are you using? What version of the VSS automation component? See this link on how to determine the version:

http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=1510

Where did you apply the label, and where did you view the truncated label name?

Thanks.

Info

I can't have the VSS version yet, however:
- SOS 4.1.2
- I applied the label on a project
- I saw the truncated name on the project history

The error occur only when you enter as many characters as you can in the label edit box.

SSAPI version

Post by Xavier » Tue Nov 15, 2005 7:34 am

Hello,

the vssapi.dll version is 6.0.92.38.
The labels are also truncated on the VSS database, it's not a display issue of source offsite.

Best regards

How many characters are you able to enter? What is the name of the label you are using?

Can you label with that name using VSS? Is it truncated when you label with VSS?

Hello,

I'm very sorry, I had checked once again but was wrong. I however had double-checked before sending the mail, but I think I didn't pay enough attention to the edit content...

I apologize for this

Xavier
