Hi,
I've got a registered copy of SOS v4 - we've been using 3.5x for a while now with no problems, but now after installing v4, the service refuses to start. I've re-started the entire system after install, uninstalled and re-installed bu to no avail...
The event log msg is :-
Service cannot be started. System.Exception: Error starting the 'SOS 4' server. Please check the server log for more details.
at ClassicService.ClassicService.OnStart(String[] args)

You need to setup some SourceSafe databases.
These lines give a clue:
OR
You should be able to copy the server and alias values from your 3.5x sossvr.prp file and replace the empty values in your 4.0 file.
