Is there any way to have email notifications turned on for both the Resolver and the Assignee? Currently it seems that there is notification just for the Assignee and this just won't fly. We need the Resolver notified as soon and he/she is assigned to Resolve the bug with an automated email.

Dragnet should do this now.
Dragnet checks for both you as the assignee and you as the resolver and sends email accordingly if you choose to the "items assigned to me" email option.
Is this not working for you?
Note that if the assignee or the resolver was the one who changed the Dragnet item, an email won't be sent because Dragnet doesn't notify on items you change yourself.
