Can't effectively manage Dragnet Priorities

Post by ristincr » Thu Oct 06, 2005 2:08 pm

When I add or change priorities, I am forced to leave the 5th priority "Urgent" untouched. It seems that this priority index is keyed for displaying the linked 'Urgent' issues in the Summary pages. So if I had wanted, for example, to use the following five priorities (and display in order):

Unknown
Enhancement
Minimal
Moderate
High
Urgent

The 'Urgent' issues linked in the Summary pages links to 'High' issues instead of Urgent. This makes adding priorities almost useless. I have to keep the last priority item (exactly 5th in the last) to be the highest priority at all times. To implement the scheme I want with 6 priorities, I have to order them in the list as:

Unknown
Enhancement
Minimal
Moderate
Urgent
High

Of course they would display in this order on bug entry page which would cause some confusion.

We currently have a feature request logged to allow users to choose the display order for the database options settings (like priority and status etc).

I will add your vote for that feature.

Thanks for the feedback :)
