Hi,
We have a setup of some developers using source offisite and others using source safe that share visual studio solutions composed of web projects and other type of projects.
The problem is that if a solution has been created from an installation with source offsite as the source control provider, web projects can't be opened from installations with source safe as the provider.
When you open the solution from vss, all projects load fine except the web projects which become unavailable and can't be reloaded.
Did someone experienced this problem ?
Is this a known issue ?
We are running SourceOffsite 4.1 on Windows XP.
MSDEV is Visual Studio.net 2003 (Version 7.1.3088)
Source safe is 6.0d build 9848
Thanks in advance

Sharing web projects with VSS users

Frank,
There is a known problem related to projects being shared between SourceOffSite and Visual SourceSafe users. A fix was released to solve the problem for non-web applications.
The following KB article describes the problem:
http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... b+projects
The only workaround would be for your SOS (or VSS) users to keep their own renegade copy of the solution file and not check it into SourceSafe.
Thanks,
