SourceOffSite 4.1.2 is now available and can be downloaded from:

http://www.sourcegear.com/sos/downloads.asp

SOS 4.1.2 is a free upgrade for 4.0 and 4.1 users.

The list of bug fixes in 4.1.2 can be found at:

I am a 4.1 user.

What is the procedure to upgrade from 4.1?

Specific questions (answer separately for client and server if need be):

1. Do I just run the MSI file, or do I need to uninstall 4.1 first?

2. Will my preferences, user keys, etc. be preserved?

Upgrading to 4.1.2 from 4.0 or 4.1

To upgrade your Client, close all running instances of the Client and run the 4.1.2 installer. It will guide you through the upgrade process.

To upgrade your Server, stop the SOS Server Service and then run the 4.1.2 installer and follow the steps it provides. Your settings will be preserved.

After the upgrade is complete, restart your Service. There is no need to upgrade your serial numbers.

SOS 4.0 (and 4.1) serial numbers are compatible with the 4.1.2 Server.

We've had a couple of reports of this from Mac users.

First, be sure you have GTK 2.6, which can be installed as part of a Fink download. Use the "unstable" distribution.

Here are some relevant links:

http://fink.sourceforge.net/
http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-fink.php#unstable
http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/index.php?phpLang=en

We are not sure what's causing the dependency reported in your error message, but we did find that Fink lists both a "readline" and a "readline5" package. We're not sure why they have both now, but one of our Mac users installed readline5 and SOS worked for him. You can get it from this link:
