Trigger Mechanism in Sourceoffsite

Hi,

I hope, i am not the first to rise this question..

Is it possible to have some trigger mechanism, in SOS client while accessing file from VSS database.

We are having the mechanism, where in our VSS database is at client place, we use sourceoffsite to access the file. Now we are planning to have a mechanism wherein it notifies whenever a user check'sout or check'sin a file or any other event on the files or folders.

SOS doesn't have any trigger mechanism, since it's an add-on and from a brief Google search, it appears that VSS doesn't support triggers.

VSS does support creation of a Journal file, which records all VSS actions. Since SOS is just remote access to VSS, any journaling should also capture user checkins through SOS. For more information see VSS Admin Help->Index->Journal_File Initialization.
