3.5.3 soscmd seg faults on RH 3.0

We are running the soscmd command line client for Linux with no problem under Red Hat Enterprise Linux V2.1. We're just looking at moving to RH 3.0 and have found that soscmd either fails to connect to the database or seg faults when running on this version.

I saw a recent post about the 3.5.3 sos command requiring rebuilding for later Linux versions. Is this the case for soscmd too? If so would it be possible to obtain the source code to it so that we can build on our new machine?

Upgrade to 4.1 is not an option as we cannot currently upgrade the 3.5.3 server.

SOS 3.5.3 runs on systems with the older glib and gtk libraries. Newer versions of Linux use much newer versions of these libraries.
