Feature or Bug?

If a user is logged into dragnet and assigns an item to themself is an email generated?

Today while working in dragnet one of our development team members was adding and assigning items. When she assigned an item to any team member other than herself emails were generated and received. When she assigned on to herself she did not get an email.

I can see where it would make sense to not generate an email but I wanted to see if this was by design or not.

- What version of Dragnet is being used?

- What are the global settings for email notification?

- Is the user's settings is set to only receive email items for items assigned to themselves?

Nothing checked for this user under Globak email options

When configured to only receive notifications on items assigned to the user, Dragnet does not send email notifications when the assignee makes the change themselves.

Were the items originally assigned to the team member?

That's what I suspected and it makes perfect sense to do it this way.

They were originally unassigned.
