Selecting Database in ServerManager Configuration

I'm trying to configure the SOS Server to connect to another machine that hosts the VSS database. The SOS Server is outfacing and the VSS database is on our internal network. Is there a specific port I need to open on the internal machine in order for the SOS Server to connect using the 10.100.x.x address?

While the SOS client communicates with the SOS Server via tcp/ip over a designated port, the SOS Server communicates with the database in a different way.

The SOS Server communicates via the SourceSafe API, and uses Windows file sharing. Basically, the SOS Server is another VSS client.

To configure SOS to access the database:

* launch the Server Manager. In the database tab, 'Add' a new
database and then browse to the 'srcsafe.ini' file through the
Network Neighborhood. This will ensure that the path to the
srcsafe.ini file is correct and set as a UNC pathname.

* verify that the account running the SOS Server service has permission
to access the machine/drive/directory where the VSS database resides.
This can be configured on Windows 2000 by going to Control Panel ->
Administrative tasks -> Services -> SourceOffSite -> (right-click)
