Selecting Database in ServerManager Configuration
I'm trying to configure the SOS Server to connect to another machine that hosts the VSS database. The SOS Server is outfacing and the VSS database is on our internal network. Is there a specific port I need to open on the internal machine in order for the SOS Server to connect using the 10.100.x.x address?
kirin:
your sos server must be able to browse to the vss directory (using a UNC \\machine\share\pathtosrcsafe.ini ) through windows file sharing. this is usually handled through netbios over tcp/ip ( ports 137-139 ).
also note, the sos service must be configured to run under an account which has access to the network resource. see http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=51 for more info.
