Failed login through VaultWeb client with non-admin account

Hi there,

We've been evaluating Vault 3.0.2 and it's been working out great so far.

There is just one small problem. I can't seem to log through the vault web client using any account other than the admin account.

All the accounts are working fine through the vault client, however when I try to log in through the web client I get "Login Failed"

Looking at the log file I see this message for any failed attempts:
"Login failed: FailInvalidPassword"

Any insight you could provide would be much appreciated.

Do you see anything in your Vault server log file that might point to the cause of this error?

I've looked through those log files and all it looks like is this. I've also enabled debug mode for log files:

----3/31/2005 1:33:44 PM Klo--server(192.***.**.**)--SSL Disabled Login
----3/31/2005 1:34:22 PM Elau--server(192.***.**.**)--SSL Disabled Login
----3/31/2005 1:35:07 PM admin--server(192.***.**.**)--SSL Disabled Login

The first 2 login attempts display "failed login" on the web client, where as the last login succeeded as it is the admin account.

I have tried assigning users to the admin group as well, however that hasn't been successful.

Not sure what else to do here as there doesn't seem to be any information regarding why I can't login in the log file.

Are you non-admin users trying for Active Directory authentication? Can you turn off AD authentication for a user (you'll probably want to specify the Vault password for the user at the same time) and connect through the web client?
