Diff operation hangs

We are using Sourceoffsite client ver 4.0.2

For few files the difference operation (between 2 versions from history) results in Hang State. For the same set of file getting old version of files is also a problem.

But this does not happen for all the files, happens only for few, but for these few it happen always

Since this is reproducible, enable verbose logging for the SOS Server:

Then perform the operation that is failing and send me a copy of the log.txt file in the SOS Server directory. Email it to Linda at SourceGear.com. Be sure to include a link to this post.

We installed the VSS SP6 and SOS 4.1 and it fixed this problem for us.

Yeah, I concur.

The service pack is actually VisualStudio 6.0 SP6, but it is for VSS 6.0x.

I didn't think about installing this service pack because we don't have VS 6.0 installed on that server, just VSS 6.0d.

We also found that this hang problem manifested itself when trying to get a version from history. One of our users pointed out that the hanging seemed to be related.
