invalid encryption key

I am using 3.5.1 pro edition client
I have this installed on a computer and can connect and access the server
I installed SOS on another computer, imported my key and when I try to connect I get the message: invalid encryption key

The most common cause for this error is when you're connecting to the SOS Server with a connection string that's different than the server name that the key was created with. For instance if you connect with "mymachine" and the key was created in the SOS Server Manager using "mymachine.sourcegear.com," or the IP address.

If the connection string is correct, is it possible the file got modified in some way before you imported into your new machine?

I am using a dotted ip address and the key file is copy from the computer where it works.
