When using the SOS command line to check out files from VSS, SOS just hangs forever once it reaches either libary files (*.lib) or executable files (*.exe). The command used is:
%soscmd% -command CheckOutProject -server %sosSVR% -name %vss_user% -password %vss_pass% -database %sosDB% -project %1 -workdir %2 -recursive
We have SOS 3.5.3 with VSS 6.0d.
Hanging checking out from 3.5.3 command line

First, be sure you're not encountering a concurrency crash:

Can you do the get with the SOS GUI Client?
Are there any errors in the SOS log.txt file that correspond to the hang? The log.txt file is in the SOS Server directory.
How big is this get? How many files and folders? How large are the .exe's?
Another thing to check is whether a firewall or other device is closing the connection after a period of time or after a certain amount of data has passed.
