Soscmd 3.5 Get Project question
I have one program checked out. If I run the get project comand on the directory structure that contains the program that is checked out. The writable status of the file is changed to read only. Is there something I am missing? Here is the comand I am using.
soscmd -command GetProject -server server:8888
-name user -password xxxx
-database \\faixxxxxx\ABS_VSS\srcsafe.ini -project $/d900/packages
-workdir c:\d900\packages -soshome "C:\Program Files\SourceOffSite"
-verbose -recursive
Thanks Dave K

The SOS 3.5x command line retrieves files as read-only, even though they are checked out.
In SOS 4.1, there is an option to use -skipwritable so that the get doesn't get a file if the copy in the working directory is writeable. Also, the CLC for 4.1 honors the setting for the read-only flag in the GUI client Tools->Options->Local files.

You'd need to update the SOS Server to 4.1. This is a paid upgrade, unless you purchased SOS after Dec. 1, 2003. See this link for details:

Questions on upgrade to 4.1
We have 10 licenses purchased 12/6/2002. We have an additional 5 licenses that were purchased after the 12/1/2003 date.
So we would have to purchase 10 upgrade license @ $99. Is there any additional monies required for the server piece?
Will the 4.1 dos client "GetProject" work like the GUI client "GetLatest" and not destroy any checked out changes?
Thanks for your help
