My user is an administrator. If I login and change my email address, all my security groups are removed upon saving. Is this a known problem?

Bug: Changing Logged in User's Password Delete Groups

No that was not an known issue. That is a really weird.
We were able to reproduce this in house. I have logged this as a high priority bug. This seems to only happen when:
1) The user logged is not "Admin" but is a member of in the Admin group
2) That logged in user changes his/her own information (changing a different user's email address etc. is fine).

groups deleted
This still seems to be an issue. I am doing an eval on this product and assigned another user admin rights. When she changed her password all of her groups security settings were deleted.
