Can't Open Project From Source Control (again)

Hi,

I cannot for the life of me open an existing source controlled project in a new solution.

I get:

The folder 'D:\projects\Mere Mortals .NET Framework\Mere Mortals Framework Web Forms' cannot be used for the solution or project you are trying to open because it is already in use to store part of another solution or project.

Well, it isn't but even if it was, shouldn't I be able to open *same* project from more than one solution? The only way I can get this to work at all is to clear out the directory and let Vault recreate it.

There's gotta be an easier way to do this?
