Currently there is no way in the Dragnet Application or the WebService API to delete an item.
There is a way to delete dragnet items through SQL. Contact me directly (use the email link at the bottom) and I will let you how to delete dragnet items in SQL.

The method you sent me works great. Any idea when we could expect to see this in the UI? I'm running his multiple times during the day to clean out duplicates, trash, etc.

We do have delete item on our list of things to do for the next "feature" release, although I do not currently have a time estimate for that release.
